EPISODE SEPT : world aids day
———

we just have to remember that this is not going away. please, everyone be safe and do what you can.
HIV 'afflicting global workforce'

and on a side note, the american government gets even more big brother on us. i understand security, but why can they not just be honest with us? it's one thing when you know things are being tracked. it's another to get that really creepy feeling that someone has been watching you and talking about you and you can't say anything about it...

EPISODE SIX : get this party started
———

OUTSIDE seriously. seriously. it's just one of those little things that "americans" spend there time doing. and honestly, i don't even have to comment. let me just point you in the direction of a housing community in colorado... where apparently anti-war means SATAN!!!!
Truce declared in peace wreath battle

GREY'S ANATOMY yeah!!! yeah!!! AHHH!!! okay. so. i have returned from my british travels. c'est de retour! but it's only temporary, because it's official. i have received 3 acceptance letters, 3 more schools to go, but it's a fabulous start. so the countdown begins! 9 months and i'm moving to the UK!!! so much to do, so much to do. but i'm doing it!

SEX AND THE CITY donc... my trip to London (and etc.) was A-MAZING!!! just the vacation that was needed. PRINCESS, FROGGY, and my dear sweet HOT ISRAELI are true complete definitions of friends. i am so very thankful to have met each of them in some of the most random ways possible. PRINCESS and her sexy talented hubby have bought a beautiful new flat. which on top of everything, is clearly a good investment being in a nice part of Chiswick/Acton. the HOT ISRAELI and his husband are just such a cute married couple. it's my first time seeing their new place and their wedding bands. too cute! and of course, FROGGY was fun as always. i miss you all so dearly! and last week contained the least crying i've done in months!!! :) after my visit, i feel very confident in my choice to become an actuary, move to england, and go to school. i'm terrified as all fuck, but i gotta do it. if not, i'll always regret it. even if i fail, something i just gotta do. ya know? and i think i'm finally starting to let the breakup settle in. it will still be forever until my heart is healed but such is life. i have accepted that this is just something i have no control over. and i've learned a fabulous lesson of life... NO EXPECTATIONS!

MEDLEY still can't get enough of NAJOUA! but alas... out and about in london just was fabulous to here brit pop galore. :)) after hearing BEWARE OF THE DOG in a club, it's even hotter!!! and of course, LDN is just all too appropriate for london, even if Lily Allen is the chav queen of the moment. but there's also been some good leaks ;) got to hear a new SOPHIE-ELLIS BEXTOR track, called COLOUR ME IN. great lyrics as always. love her. and ON THE UP by KYLIE has finally leaked in full and it's soooo good. i'm loving it more and more. i have high hopes for her new album. whoo hoo! and finally, while in the UK, i fell in love with the holiday MARKS & SPENCER advert with SHIRLEY BASSEY. when this diva sings GET THE PARTY STARTED by PiNK, it's just clear how classy his woman is. check it out in the youtube link and tell me that you don't wanna get dressed up and go out! xo

EPISODE CINQUE : new life
———

OUTSIDE there's a lot going. the u.s. congress is all mixed up again and there's talk of hope on the horizon. so let's look at something different. A PELICAN ATE A PIDGEON!!! now this happened in london's hyde park, but most people i mention this to have to ask... "can we get summa those up in nyc?"
Pelican swallows pigeon in park

GREY'S ANATOMY last weekend was really great. my best friend visited with his boyfriend. they're both uber stressed because of that whole grad school thing, but i love them all the same. ;) seriously, it was great to hang out. it's always nice when in the middle of all the insanity, people pull through to make it all seem purposeful. we had some good walk and talks (personal favourite!) and i was introduced to SoCo. sometimes you meet people and just hit it off from the getgo. and SoCo has already proven to be a good friend. we had a great talk about life, goals, objectives, the meaning of hapiness and fulfillment. no joke. and not in a dorky, spiritual or goofy way. seriously. it revolves around careers, sex, love, money, friends, family. ya know. LA VIE! among all that, it made me think about things (in good ways). also, he said something that started to settle the rubble that is my heart... "i hope one day i will have a love like you did."

SEX AND THE CITY ha ha. so a cute man in the bed, does not mean sex. these days it means better than sex. a friend. :) i forget how much fun sleepovers can be. otherwise... i leave for london tomorrow. school touring, friend bonding, and british accents galore. ah...

oh did i mention i got my first UK uni acceptance letter! yup yup yup. 9 months and counting until my life begins in the UK. whoo hoo! hoping for more options, but at least i finally have AN option. and my track towards actuarialism begins... :))

MEDLEY music music music music, fashion fashion. kylie's SHOWGIRL HOMECOMING has begun, and the new song WHITE DIAMONDS has made it's way on youtube. the shit is HOT! i love how she brings it again and again, with more and more feathers!!! :) now, for the first time, my two favourite songs of the moment are french! they kick ass!!! and Najuoa, who created the best album of the year IMO, has my #1 song as a single right now. even the video rocks. love it. and yeah, well... WIND IT UP ain't that bad. still not great, but i can hop to it. sophie ellis-bextor (the greatest next to kylie) has her new album set for early next year, with the first single in january!!! excitement knows no patience. otherwise, just a lot of great singles right now, and i can't settle on a playlist, too much. mad props to PUSSYCAT DOLLS for a single to make an over year old album hot again, and super video for WAIT A MINUTE. i'm not even sure which of nelly furtado's singles i like more right now. SAY IT RIGHT or ALL GOOD THINGS. pffft! i can only show 10 at a time, but i must finalize with a note. thank you jewel! she released on iTunes an EP of mixes for her song ONLY ONE TOO. which is many things. [1] one of her best songs. [2] a terrific club mix! which makes the song better. [3] a pretty damn good emotional track for me right now! ;) xo

EPISODE QUATRE : pas cette fois
———

OUTSIDE the image of orthodox jews i have, usually doesn't involve them burning things and rioting. however, with the hope of a gay pride parade through jerusalem next week, that's just what they are up to.
Orthodox Jews protest gay pride

GREY'S ANATOMY this weekend was great. boston is a very cute city. it's beautiful, i loved it and hope to be back soon. you can even have a Samuel Adams in front of Samuel Adams... on the other front, all of my college applications are as good as done. i am just waiting on my second reference for the 3 grad schools. and voila! part of my hope is to know something by xmas. of course, the entire hope is to get accepted to more than one program! =) much like everything in life, time will tell.

SEX AND THE CITY well now... there was the russian but that was just a step in the healing process. or so they say. but after meeting a couple this weekend with an open relationship, i got very defensive about my relationship virtues. they are a nice couple, but the idea of me being in an open relationship is still not who i am. love, trust, monogamy. that's me. ;)

EPISODE TROI : c'est la vie
———

Funny how a lonely day, can make a person say:
What good is my life
Funny how a breaking heart, can make me start to say:
What good is my life
Funny how I often seem, to think I'll never find another dream
In my life
Till I look around and see, this great big world is part of me
And my life

This is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that's the way that I was born to be
This is me

This is my life
And I don't give a damn for lost emotions
I've such a lot of love I've got to give
Let me live

Sometimes when I feel afraid, I think of what a mess I've made
Of my life
Crying over my mistakes, forgetting all the breaks I've had
In my life
I was put on earth to be, a part of this great world is me
And my life
Guess I'll just add up the score, and count the things I'm grateful for
In my life

This Is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that's the way that I was born to be
This is me

This is my life
And I don't give a damn for lost emotions
I've such a lot of love I've got to give
Let me live

EPISODE DEUX : turning your lovelight down again
———
OUTSIDE honestly, i do not understand how anyone can seriously use the word REALISTIC when discussing Iraq... IRAQ SUCCESS 'POSSIBLE' SAYS US.
and wtf is going on with this drama of madge... MADONNA TALKS ABOUT ADOPTION TO OPRAH, is that realistic?

GREY'S ANATOMY the undergrad applications are done. score! just 3 grad schools left. however, now i'm having to plan out the itinerary for london and exactly how do you plan a tour of 6 schools? last weekend was quite busy but uneventful. the fall foilage cruise was beautiful, but MARIE ANTOINETTE... pffft! my description of it is frivilous and gorgeous. basically a lovely slideshow with little and pointless dialogue.

MEDLEY I still can't get enough of Najuoa, the album is just so brilliant. COMME TOI is definitely standing out for me right now. not to mention the fact that sugababes EASY is just the hottest track out there. the new Gwen Stefani track WIND IT UP, needs to be really wound down. goofy but not in the good LAMB way. come on, who samples THE SOUND OF MUSIC? i'll prolly love it in a few months, but right now i just can't imagine. and apparently Scarlet Johansson has recorded some material, starting with SUMMERTIME. quite lovely and i'm quite impressed with her voice, try to check it out. not to tease, but i'm working on making 10 second song clips and how to link them, so that then this will all make more sense.

[clearly i'm also still working out this formating thing]

EPISOPE UN: entre deux mondes
———
[SMILEY]
[THE WORLD OUTSIDE VANILLA-BEAN] at the moment, there's a lot of weird shit going down in russia. tony blair is speaking up. here's one of the more troubling...
Russia stops aid groups' work

[SEX & THE CITY] so last saturday i went out with cinammon to bar hop through hell's kitchen. it was a really great nite, fun and much needed. but it also confirmed that i'm not ready to be drunk yet, even though the breakup was a month ago. some texts that should not have been sent, were sent. and in the middle of the street i had a brief cry. which lead to a touching moment of comforting and a great monologue of support by cinammon. so as always, things happen for the best. this weekend has music trivia, a fall foilage cruise, art installation showing from a DASH alumn, another fabulous french party, and at some point the viewing of Marie Antoinette. i'm excited to see this movie even though i prolly won't like it. pffft!

[GREY'S ANATOMY] with the receipt of my first recommendation from a former professor, i am ready to submit 6 of the 9 college applications i have laid out for myself. these of course are the 6 undergraduate programs. still tweaking the personal statement, but i plan on submitting it all by the end of the week. as for the 3 grad programs... still working on it but it's all coming together. personal deadline for all of it, is the end of the month.

[MEDLEY] voila! today's episode title "Entre Deux Mondes" is the name of one of my favourite albums this year, and naturally of the moment. it's by Najoua Belyzel. great 80s electro sound with screaming in french. love it. even if i only understand half of it. it's quite brilliant. otherwise, the RUDEBOX by robbie williams is hot! very excited for it's release next week! you MUST check out the free download on iTunes... KISS ME, it's off the new album. :)
