BROTHERS & SISTERS have not had many visitors lately and the social life has taken a back burner. grrr... not by choice. first it was exams, which were brutal. and now it's me budget. it's quite limited these days. especially with no income in sight. just flat hunting and the search for summer temp work. i find it hard to get myself motivated these days, but things are changing. i'm starting to exercise again and i find that gives me a sense of control and inspiration. funny that. there's a whole lot of anni's going round though. CINAMMON and THE POLE have reached 5 months. CHUCKLES is getting to 2 years! bless his little cuban man. and AUSSIEBUM and i have survived 3 months. the insanity of it all. even SPECIAL K is moving in with his messican. yowsas. come to think of it now, none of us are dating americans. hmmmm... oh and it is SEA SALT's birthday today!!! one of my best friends and i took him out for a proper bday celebration lunch. wagamama and milkshakes! damn this diet...

THE RICHES there ain't be no riches here. the budget is shrinking daily now. with holidays on the horizon and no income, me thinks a new loan application should be started. i should be able to survive the summer, and if i get some employment then there will be a surplus. but it's definitely not a fruitful financial period i'm in. gotta do the time. supposedly there's money headed my way after graduation. speaking of, EXAMS ARE DONE! summer is here! and i never ever thought i'd say that again. wow wow wow. but yeah, i think (and hope!) i passed it all. now how well i did... we won't talk about that. the first year isn't as important as the rest and i'm back in the game now. BRING IT ON BITCHES!!!

MILE HIGH well it's a different kind of high now. though perhaps we will join the mile high club this weekend since we are going on holiday. our first trip together! very exciting. we are off to florence and pisa. i love tuscany and am really looking forward to visiting it with AUSSIEBUM. he's turned out to be quite a boyfriend and yes, he makes me happy. just going with it really. still surprised that last week made it 3 months together. funny how monogamy works. and for the very first time in a relationship, he actually mentioned the "anniversary" to me first. such a cutie.

SO MUCH! thankfully that MIMI - BYE BYE business is behind us. not that i didn't like it. but i just didn't. the new single is one of my album faves, LOVIN YOU LONG TIME. gurl is bringing it with a summer jam. nice... some new SOPHIE songs leak recently, yummy. they are on her myspace page, find it for yourself. OFF & ON and HEARTBREAK MAKE ME A DANCER are some of her housey-est stuff to date. love love lovin it. hopefully this fall will bring yet another brilliant album from miss ELLIS-BEXTOR and a tour that will allow me to see her. ah, a girl can dream... then there's my new discovery of sorts. the new CYNDI LAUPER album. yes! madames et monsieurs, bitch is back. BRING YA TO THE BRINK is the album title and she surely does. gurl got the hottest djs to each produce a different track. damn it is some good shit. seriously, go buy it! you will not be dissatisfied. unfortunately a leaked song she did with BASEMENT JAXX called I'M FROM NEW YORK did not make the cut. it's so trippy, it should get released somehow... finally one good and one bad point. bad... ugh... MILEY CYRUS has another hit with me on 7 THINGS. i can't help it. it's just catchy. stupid slut... however, one good point.... SEX & THE CITY has not only turned out to be a fantastic flick (saw that shit twice boo) but the soundtrack has some fierce tracks. big duh is FERGIE's track LABELS OR LOVE. brilliant how they incorporated the original theme song into it. at least in my opinion. and then JENNIFER HUDSON brings it on with ALL DRESSED UP IN LOVE. she has it. i'm just sayin, she does. her supposed album lead single leaked, SPOTLIGHT. it's not as catchy but she definitely is workin with some of the right people, so i'm looking forward to her album to see what she's all got. and my third find on the OST is that hilariously brilliant nyc band MORNINGWOOD who scored their song NEW YORK GIRLS on the OST. hells to the yeah.

oops, and i forgot to mention that DUFFY is just releasing beautiful music. WARWICK AVENUE is an instant classic. and the video is as beautiful as the song. check it!

BROTHERS & SISTERS in a surprise turn of events, CHUCKLES is visiting again! so last minute, but so nice indeed. i love that his job has him passing through london on occasion. fabulous. my cruise with mom and dad is in two weeks! i'm so excited, but actually now stressed about it. just because that means exams are coming!

THE RICHES classes ended monday. so the idea is to not spend all my free time spending money. well actually i want to spend my free time studyinig. but when you have nothing to do, it's hard to focus. FOCUS! yes yes. everything is good at the moment. just keepnig up with things. my grades seem to be neutral at this point. waiting on exams... did i mention that?

MILE HIGH honestly... i suppose there's not much going on. sure great sex with AUSSIEBUM. but seeing as we're dating, it's not exactlty a new story. although last weekend we both got so drunk, there was nothing gonna happen and we decided to sleep it all off. only to wake up and have some of the best morning sex! totes my favourite. but i digress... tmi much? lol. seriously, we've been dating for over a month now i suppose and yes... i like him. he's a really nice guy and we have great conversations and great fun together, among other things. naturally... always happens when you don't want a relationship. it's exciting to have it be completely different from the french affair, but still fabulous. ya know? after all that, i wasn't sure anything but one-offs were possible. c'est la vie!

MEDLEYdespite it's chart performance, i still have no interest in MADONNA's current music. the song gets a little catchy and then i get bored... MARIAH CAREY's album leaked and at first all i could tink was "this is no emancipation", but now it gets better with every listen! i am really liking it. current faves are THAT CHICK, LOVE YOU LONG TIME and O.O.C. and also LOVE STORY. it's actually all quite good. even MIGRATE, lol. then there's MATT POKORA's new album and damn. timbaland hooked him up. it's good. i still think his last album was better but then again, i love his voice in french. not happy about the album being in english except 2 tracks, but it is still quite good. and JANET JACKSON's singles seem to be just fading away again. i don't get it? FEEDBACK was good and well received, but ROCK WITH U is doing nothing, despite being my favourite track on the album. LUV is just a sure-fire hit. or so i though... it's barely in the R&B charts. silliness i tell you. otherwise, i just finally got into some of the recent popular stuff. ROISIN MURPHY's singles hit me with brilliance all at once suddenly. MERCY by DUFFY was a free US iTunes track and now i'm hooked. and even WORK by KELLY ROWLAND is what i get ready to each day. mind you, i like the original NOT the freemason's mix that everyone else drools over. it's a hot song, worq it girl! and yes, i have to admit defeat to MILEY CYRUS... i actually like SEE YOU AGAIN. in my defence, it's the JOHNNY COPPOLA mix. have no idea who the guy is and this version is not on iTunes (yet hopefully) but it samples SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT's bassline and is quite cute and catchy. in that old familiar crush song style. and i suppose i have crush now, so i'm feeling it. xo

BROTHERS & SISTERS just as life starts to settle, it's time for the spring visitors! is it spring yet? SOCO was in town last week and it was a great time. i don't think i've ever had a straight boyfriend before and i'm glad he's mine. we have such a good time and damn he asks all the questions i never think of. it's a gift really. next is mom and dad in april. holla! it'll be our first time on another continent together.

THE RICHES work, school, sex. that's about my life in a nutshell these days. dreaming of the day when i'll see some of the riches that are eluding me my entire life. but alas, i am enjoying the richness of life in friendship and experience. i'm actually in a good place right now, aside from not focused on school, grrrr... and the stupid selfish spoiled brats in my classes... grrr... WAIT! maybe there's an cognitive association there? whatever, i can't let them hold me down. after this, i'm rewriting my maths notes and looking over some stats work. whoo hoo!

MILE HIGH "how many people do you sleep with a year?" i was asked today. by WIFE #2 though is total first class. being dorky actuarial types, we discussed and i approached it mathematically. we are finishing the first quarter of this year and by rough estimation i would got with 10 partners in 2008 thus far. wha-what!? is that a little? or a lot? i replied with, "only 10 so far, so that's not even 1 a week..." which apparently was not the shared perspective. regardless! i'm done with my old f.b. CHESTER as he's just pretty much done for me now. and although i still flirt with one or two fellas... it looks like i've started dating AUSSIEBUM. we met online for sex. yes. it's 2008, i'm a slut and pretty much emotionally damaged after the whole french affair. so we met, we fucked, and voila! we chatted. lol. we decided to see each other again but this time in daylight and since then... we'll tomorrow nite will be like date #5 in 2 weeks but who's counting. we're busy guys and just trying to see each other when we can. that's where it's at. he is good though, and after our first sleepover on friday nite, he made me breakfast saturday morning and we watched golden girls... totes my fantasy date!

MEDLEYMADONNA has managed to bore me in less than 4 MINUTES with her new single... KYLIE is still charting after months in the UK with WOW, whoo hoo! and first US single should be out soon with ALL I SEE... SOPHIE has officially cancelled her tour with no release date in sight for her Greatest Hits, i love her music but honestly. at the moment. i'm not a fan of hers... GIRLS ALOUD are tops is my book with their new single. not only is it called I CANT SPEAK FRENCH and catchy as hell. but the recorded a cheeky version IN FRENCH! it's fabulously awful. JE NE PARLE PAS FRANÇAIS is released today and i'm gonna play that shit out!... oh yeah and DANITY KANE have a killer new album with perfection lead single DAMAGED. bring it bitches!

BROTHERS & SISTERS taxes, birthdays, barcelona! add a little spice girl action and loads of exams with coursework to boot and voila! that's been 2008 so far. fierce! and in the first two days i'm already loving 28. lovin it! focusing on the school thing, filling in time and money with the cinema job... ya know. and realising i know some pretty cool people here. that really know how to have a good time and be smart too. that and my family is simply amazing. i love them so much. but i digress...

THE RICHES so yeah, barcelona was beautiful and i had a blast visiting THE TEXAN with one of my new good mates ROSADA. i've been going out to some fabulous places, wining dining dancing and more all over london. but seriously, after all the great guests, birthday parties, and now my own... i'm gonna be as all dork as i can be. gimme some nominal interest rates and complex numbers baby. BRING IT! oh, i got the most birthday cards ever this year, amazing! ironically, the only americans to remember my bday were my family and JASMINE. no worries, i love you all!

MILE HIGH this has been taking up the rest of my time. goodness me! looks like i've got another one of those in my life that knows how to booty text. gotta love the 2000s for that! CHESTER is good fun, and kindly remembered my birthday but he's a bit exhausting, so we'll see how long he lasts. ;-) the HOT ISRAELI recently had another hot nite and then i also got CZECH checked off my list of places to do... which leads me to ask... why am i single?! lol. i should have asked THE SPANIARD while i was there... like i said, focusing on school now!

OUTSIDE oh dear. it's been awhile and cinammon sent me a virtual bitch slap to get back on this. so the world's markets are crashing, a new US president is fighting the good fight to have the oppurtunity to heal a country and world destroyed george bush, and heath ledger has died. lots to put things in perspective really. but i still say 2008 is off to a great start and i am bringin it this year. as should YOU!

THE RICHES

the above are what is right with the world, and where i gained all my FAT last year. the larger bags of crisps are labelled, "better for sharing" which really means, "eat the whole bag in one sitting all by yourself!" so now, i'm only allowed either one of these divinities on special occasions, a.k.a. birthdays, holidays, depression and drunk binge eating. oh wait...

xmas was fun and different being in the UK. full of snowballs (fierce cocktail that SEA SALT's husband made throughout the day), fun television (kylie on dr.who!!!), and of course nothing else because every freaking thing in this country is closed on xmas day. but that's to rest up for the intense sales on boxing day. girl i got some good shit for cheap! then new year's was amazing as well. i got closure with my asshole ex who refused to see me (fabulous!), enjoyed the first nite of the smoking ban in paris (even more fabulous until 6am!), spent time with great friends and made even more friends. i love paris so much and can't wait to go back. they say my french was good, but i think that's just because they could understand me. in reality i'm sure i sound like the english quivalent of a mexican who just moved to kansas. either way, paris revived me and my return to london has me full of motivation, hope and freedom. i have a job now though so that's put a damper on the drinking a bit... :(

MILE HIGH well i now have greece checked off on my list, but that's not very important now is it? still single and loving it. not even a prospective date, which makes me happy because i refuse to settle. i totes believe i could shack up loads, but the market here is just... well in a bit of a recession i'd say. the goods are not up to par. so i'm thinking italian now. hmmmm... though one must never forget that everything tastes better with a bit of ginger. :) still on the hunt for my gorgeous tall fluent-in-french firecrotch. oh where oh where art thou?
